Leadership That Builds on Momentum

Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates has made steady progress over the past several years through strengthened advocacy efforts, expanded educational programming, and increased member engagement. With a strong foundation in place, the focus now is on building upon that momentum in a thoughtful, consistent, and forward-looking way.

Dan Barker steps into the President-Elect role with a strong understanding of both the Society’s history and its future direction. Through his experience in multiple leadership roles within Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates and his involvement in shaping the organization’s vision, he is well positioned to help guide its next phase of growth. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration, support for those around him, and a commitment to ensuring the Society’s work continues to move forward in meaningful and impactful ways.

Mary Allias brings a strong background in both clinical medicine and education, along with longstanding involvement in the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates. Her focus on growing membership, strengthening advocacy efforts, and recognizing the day-to-day contributions of PAs reflects a practical and thoughtful approach to leadership. As the profession continues to evolve, leaders, such as Mary, who understand both the academic and clinical sides of the field will play an important role in shaping its future.

Gabrielle Fanfarillo adds an important perspective through her focus on clinical education, mentorship, and professional development. Her experience working in high-acuity environments reinforces the value of strong training, effective teamwork, and continuous growth. These same qualities are essential to supporting both individual PAs and the long-term success of the profession.

At the student level, Sarah Boardman and Anastasia Fiebig represent the next generation of PAs. Their involvement helps ensure that student perspectives remain part of the conversation while also strengthening the pipeline of future leaders within the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates.

Looking Ahead

There is still important work ahead.

Membership growth, state-level advocacy, strengthening connections across programs and health systems, and supporting PAs at every stage of their careers all remain key priorities. Those priorities do not change with a new election cycle; if anything, they reinforce the importance of staying focused and continuing to build on the progress already made.

What stands out about this group is their willingness to step in and contribute to that work.

The Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates has always been driven by members who are willing to give their time, share their perspectives, and help move the profession forward. This election is another reflection of continued commitment.

Please join us in congratulating our newly elected leaders and thanking all candidates who stepped forward to serve the Society.
